New Endeavors

I have some exciting personal news that I want to share with our community.  Please know: this news will not impact my commitment or involvement with Beth Chai. I have accepted a position as Acquiring Editor at Behrman House Publishing/Apples & Honey Press, one of the largest Jewish publishers in the country.   In fact, all the textbooks that we use at Beth Chai are published by Behrman House.  I have done projects with Behrman House for the last 20 years and, so, this feels like a natural progression. 

I suspect that many members of Beth Chai aren't quite aware of my professional life, outside of Beth Chai.  I am part-time at Beth Chai and, when not involved with Beth Chai,  I own a small children's bookstore and do a lot of writing of youth literature. The pandemic really impacted my bookstore and it has never really rebounded.  I'll be selling my bookstore business and greatly scaling back my freelance writing to make time for this new position.  Behrman House realizes that sometimes emergencies might arise at Beth Chai and force me to alter my schedule.

I am looking forward to this new endeavor and sharing my book projects with the Beth Chai community.  Most importantly, I look forward to many more years of active involvement at Beth Chai and watching our congregation continue to flourish.
