We strive at Beth Chai to foster and maintain a positive Jewish identity for ourselves and our children by providing all our members, from the youngest to the oldest, the opportunity to learn about Jewish history, culture, values, and traditions in a humanistic manner.
We stress equally the Jewish and humanist values of taking responsibility for one’s own actions, respecting all human beings, showing compassion for others, maintaining one's integrity, and working for Tikkun Olam (Repair of the World).

School begins September 13th, 2020 normally from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Burning Tree Elementary School, 7900 Beech Tree Road, Bethesda, Maryland. This year we are starting remote classes via Zoom. They will begin at 10 am nad last for 1 hour. Please pay by September 13th, for the full school year if possible. Registering and paying on time helps us better plan our staffing needs.
Beth Chai welcomes members and students, regardless of their ability to pay. Please contact the Beth Chai treasurer for a confidential consultation to determine the level of need requested.
Note: Parents are expected to be present in school facilities during Family School. Parents leaving during school hours must sign out and leave a cell phone or other emergency number, and must identify another person to accept responsibility for their children while they are not present.
