We will celebrate the second day of Rosh Hashana with a an informal, family-oriented Tashlich ceremonygathering in lieu of Sunday School.  During the brief Tashlich service, we symbolically throw our misdeeds and misgivings from the past year away by tossing bread crumbs into a natural body of water.   The word “Tashlich” means “to cast off.”  In recent years, environmentalists and wild-life lovers have suggested that, instead of bread crumbs, bird seed is a better option for Tashlich.   We will provide birdseed for the event.

College Gardens park is a small neighborhood gathering spot.  There is ample on-the-street parking nearby and the pond is right by the sidewalk.  There is a playground also, so consider staying a while to hang out together.
